Robyn Oxley is a Tharawal and Yorta Yorta woman. Robyn is an Aboriginal scholar and Lecturer in Criminology at Western Sydney University in the School of Social Sciences. Robyn completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA and Honours) and a Masters by Research in Criminology at Monash University. Robyn’s research areas are Aboriginal social justice, pre and post release support for Aboriginal people who are leaving prison and in prison, Aboriginal children and young people, Aboriginal women in prison and Aboriginal self-determination within the criminal justice system. Robyn is an activist and fights for human rights, self-determination and equality for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia.
